India, being a secular and democratic country, the Indian Constitution has been very well constructed, reflecting the culture of the country as a democratic, secular country with respect for multi-cultural identities and practices, providing space for all are equal. Today, the market economy, cutting across the country, is promoting oligarchy capitalism where few socio-economically grows very fast while the majority are pushed down to the poverty level. There is a threat to the constitutional rights in India, projecting to become a dominant player in the market economy.
Therefore, in order to protect the fundamental rights of the marginalized communities, a campaign is launched for a month to commemorate the Day of Republic, 26th Jan, and promote consciousness across the villages about the fundamental rights of the citizens and fundamental duties of the government to work as a welfare state. Month-long village educational meetings were conducted submitting memorandums to the officials wherever there is threat to fundamental rights.
